The Agent Post-Training team at OpenAI is responsible for training frontier agents that are shipped to the world. This includes models for Codex, ChatGPT, the API, and other advanced products. The team focuses on developing persistent, proactive intelligence capable of operating computers, collaborating with humans and other agents, and expanding human potential. They define future agent capabilities, create the training signals, and conduct experiments to realize these abilities. Their work covers areas such as coding, tool use, computer use, multi-agent coordination, long-horizon execution, factuality, instruction following, calibrated reasoning, and taste. This team is where new model capabilities are created, involving the development of data, environments, graders, training methods, and feedback loops that shape OpenAI's next generation of agents, which are then integrated into major training runs and products. As a member of the Agent Post-Training, Computer Use team, you will be instrumental in teaching models to operate computers. This involves training models that can navigate browsers and desktops, utilize tools and applications, reason through complex workflows, collaborate with users and other agents, and reliably complete long-horizon tasks with sound judgment. This role is at the intersection of frontier model training, product behavior, evaluation, and systems engineering, and will directly influence the computer-use capabilities of OpenAI’s next-generation agents. The team is proud that their current models are considered the best in the world for this behavior. You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, product teams, infrastructure teams, and safety/alignment partners to determine the content of major model runs, measure their success, and implement improvements in products used by real people. This is a high-agency role for individuals who want their work to have a direct impact on frontier models.
