About The Position

The CRTU's primary focus is on patient care and basic specimen collection and processing. The lab primarily handles blood and urine samples and is typically involved in assisting with specimen collection and then centrifuging and aliquoting samples. Those samples are then forwarded on to other labs for testing or further manipulation.

Maintenance of lab equipment and supplies
Basic statistical data analysis
Preparation of tables, charts, and graphs
Organizing data
Presenting at research laboratory meetings
Contributing to writing of manuscripts
Working under supervision
Performing assignments independently as discussed and approved by Principal Investigator

Responsibilities

Sets up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals, grant commitments, i.e. assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, etc.
Monitors results, reports unusual outcomes and suggests modifications.
Collects, enters and summarizes data.
Assists in the maintenance of lab equipment and supplies.
Performs basic statistical data analysis; prepares tables/charts/graphs and assists in organizing data.
Presents at research laboratory meetings and contributes to writing of manuscripts.
Works under supervision and may perform some assignments independently as discussed and approved by Principal Investigator.
