About The Position

The Biomedical Research, Innovation, and Translation in Extracorporeal Therapies (BRITE) Lab at Nemours Children’s Hospital is a multidisciplinary team that combines clinical medicine and bioengineering to develop technologies to improve the outcomes for pediatric patients on extracorporeal life support (ECLS). We are developing next generation microfluidic oxygenators based on breakthrough semiconductor silicon membrane technology. In addition, we are developing new devices to both improve the safety of ECLS and accelerate vascular healing after ECLS decannulation. The Senior Research Technologist’s primary function is to provide laboratory technical assistance to support the goals and objectives of the lab. The ideal candidate will have an interest and background in bioengineering, biomaterials, mechanical engineering, microfluidics, or a related field. Additionally, ideal candidates will be interested in committing to several years of full-time work in the lab.
