About The Position

The Keshari Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center studies cancer metabolism to understand how biochemical changes in tumors can be used for non-invasive diagnosis and treatment, leveraging metabolic imaging and cell engineering. You will help translate metabolic discoveries into clinical imaging and therapeutic strategies, directly advancing earlier cancer detection and more precise, patient-tailored care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
  • Basic laboratory skills.
  • Demonstrated experience following protocols and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with mice is required for this role.
  • Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
  • Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed and multi-task.
  • Team-oriented approach to supporting graduate students, postdocs and fellow researchers.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical experience with cell culture/western blot is highly valued.
  • Experience with mouse models is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
  • Perform standard wet lab techniques, such as cell culture, flow cytometry, western blot etc.
  • Conduct animal studies, including mouse imaging, colony maintenance, dissection, tissue/fluid collection.
  • Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
  • Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
