The Goldstein Lab in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery and Department of Neurobiology at Duke University is seeking a Research Associate to provide general assistance and contribute to basic and clinical research. This is a full-time position with an initial appointment term of one year, renewable based on performance and funding. The lab focuses on neurogenesis and tissue renewal in the olfactory mucosa to develop strategies for treating olfactory damage or loss, utilizing mouse models, cell culture, and human nasal tissue. Expertise in single-cell RNA sequencing and biopsy-based approaches for human olfactory tissue are key. Current projects include investigating olfactory loss due to neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and understanding olfactory neuroblastoma.
