Research Technician II

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia•Philadelphia, PA
•$43,900 - $54,800•Onsite

About The Position

This entry-level research technical role participates in a planned research projects by performing research protocols, experimental procedures and other laboratory tasks under direct supervision. May occasionally exercise minimal discretion and judgment in execution and interpretation of experiments, and of data derived. The Wang Laboratory at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician II to join our research team. Our laboratory studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing heart development, cardiomyocyte maturation, and congenital heart disease. We combine single-cell and spatial genomics, in vivo functional genomics, mouse genetics, genome editing, and human stem cell–based models to identify regulatory mechanisms controlling cardiac development and disease. A major focus of the laboratory is developing and applying new technologies that connect large-scale genomic discovery with functional validation in vivo. The Research Technician will work closely with the principal investigator and other lab members and will have opportunities to contribute directly to ongoing research projects, lab management, learn advanced experimental approaches, and participate in scientific presentations and publications.
