About The Position

The Research Technician will assist with data analysis and numerical modeling of air pollution using satellite observations. This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Two years of related experience.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs
Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Master's Degree in Data Sciences

Responsibilities

Assemble and operate a numerical modeling system using machine learning and AI.
Provide logistical support with data storage in the laboratory.
Assist senior staff members in conducting data analysis and modeling procedures.
Assist undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects.
Participate in training and professional development sessions as needed.
