This research technician position is hosted by the Mishra Laboratory. We are seeking candidates with an interest in using engineering principles to develop cutting-edge microfluidic devices for cancer diagnostics and cell therapy manufacturing. Experience in biomedical R&D, especially in device/assay testing and validation, is preferred, but not required. The primary responsibilities of the technician will include developing microfluidic devices for cancer diagnostics, optimizing biological assays, analyzing data, and presenting results to the team. The technician will work with postdoctoral fellows and faculty to participate directly in research. Therefore, good analytical skills and independent thinking are critical. Over the last decade, staff with similar roles have been acknowledged as authors in scientific publications due to their intellectual contributions. A vast majority have moved on to top graduate/medical programs. Summary Responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, organizing and preparing samples, conducting experiments, and recording and analyzing data. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a grace period of six months from their hire date (up to 1 year if starting per diem) to provide degree equivalency verification.
