About The Position

Responsible for providing specialized animal husbandry and performing associated duties in a research setting with direction from supervisor, manager, or higher-level technician.

Responsibilities

  • Provide all aspects of general husbandry to germ-free mice.
  • Prepare and sterilize all supplies required for husbandry needs.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Assemble, take down, reassemble, and sterilize isolator units.
  • Assist with colony management and maintaining associated records.
  • Assist facility manager, supervisor or higher level technicians with experiments and data collection and data entry.
  • Assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
