About The Position
The Energy Institute in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking Part-Time Research Support. This role involves assisting in the design, ordering, and assembly of components for a three-staged chemical precipitation process. The position requires operating and maintaining pilot plant equipment for experimental runs and technology development, adhering to safety procedures, and accurately documenting data. Additionally, the role includes designing and developing detailed 3D models of industrial piping systems, plant layouts, and process flow diagrams using software like AutoCAD Plant 3D, Creo, or equivalent. Responsibilities also encompass conducting laboratory research to improve chemical processes and unit operations, and performing CFD simulations to analyze particle behavior in continuous reactors.
