About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate candidate to work in hematology, cardiology, and immunology research. This position will provide unique training experience in both in vitro and in vivo assay systems to study normal and neoplastic hematopoiesis, cardiovascular diseases, and immune modulation. There will also be opportunities for career development training and mentorship to help the candidate progress to a career in biomedical sciences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology or a related field.
- Experience with research activities.
- Experience in operating equipment, carrying out test procedures, and using special methods for data collation and interpretation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience performing routine molecular biology procedures, including but not limited to PCR, cell culture and isolation of cells from tissues.
- Experience maintaining transgenic mouse lines (e.g., blood collection, genotype PCR).
- Laboratory management experience (ordering, aliquoting, organization, etc).
Responsibilities
- Perform cell culture studies, DNA and RNA purification, PCR, western blotting and flow cytometry.
- Manage transgenic mice colonies.
- Assist with lab organization, order lab supplies and maintain supply inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
