About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology seeks a candidate to perform electrophysiology on mouse tissue slides. The candidate will prepare biological samples, operate electrophysiology equipment. The candidate will be expected to handle animals (mainly mice and rats), prepare spinal and brain slices, and perform electrophysiological (e.g. patch clamp) recording on slices. The candidate will also share in general lab maintenance responsibilities assigned by the principal investigator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering or other related biomedical field.
  • Experience with research activities.
  • Experience in operating equipment, carrying out test procedures, and using special methods for data collation and interpretation.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering or other biomedical field.
  • Experience in animal handling (mice, rats).
  • Experience handling delicate lab equipment.
  • Experience with patch clamp electrophysiology.
