About The Position

The Boston University Pulmonary Center, Bosmann Lab is recruiting a Research Laboratory Technician for projects on the molecular immune response to infections. Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pneumonia and sepsis are life-threatening complications of microbial infections with profound disturbances of the immune system. In the current absence of definitive treatment options, ARDS and sepsis represent an enormous problem for health systems worldwide. Our laboratory is dedicated to obtain a better mechanistic understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of bacterial infections including the evaluation of new therapeutic targets. We are especially interested in novel genes for which several genetically engineered mouse strains were generated by CRISPR-Cas9 in our laboratory.
