About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a recent or upcoming grad for a Research Study Technician position to join our Animal Operations team in Madison, WI! This role involves applying scientific curiosity in researching the effectiveness, safety, and toxicity of drugs in early development animal research studies. The position requires handling and restraining animals, potentially providing husbandry duties, performing various dosing techniques, administering test items, collecting biological samples, performing clinical observations, and collecting/reviewing data in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP) and standard operating procedures. The role also includes organizing study-related activities and data, and maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with AAALAC.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline (Biology, Wildlife, Pre-veterinary, Zoology, Animal Science, or related Life Science disciplines) OR Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology or Veterinary Technology plus 6 months or more of experience in clinical support, laboratory animal care, or assisting veterinary or research staff in a regulated laboratory or research environment.

6 months or more of direct animal care experience in a research lab or farming operation (large or small animals).
AALAS Certification

Responsibilities
