About The Position

The Center for Child and Family Well-being in the Department of Psychology has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Coordinator 1 to join their team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Community Outreach and Training, this position is responsible for research participant contacts, enrolling participants in studies, data collection and management, and report writing.

Requirements

  • Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience performing work in support of clinical, biomedical, or behavioral research studies involving human subject.
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency in REDcap.
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Experience conducting research online and using online databases such as PubMed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to create timelines, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow projects, tasks, and assignments through to completion and ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse individuals and offices at the UW and in the community.

Nice To Haves

  • BA in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health or a related field OR equivalent education/experience
  • Interest in well-being research and programs

Responsibilities

  • Assist in study recruitment and communications: Contacting program facilitators and community partners to share recruitment materials.
  • Participant Contact: Screen prospective participants to determine eligibility according to research protocol; review and explain consent forms, questionnaires, and surveys with prospective subjects ; conduct interviews according to established protocol.
  • Assist in study management and coordination: Uploading, downloading participant data into the data collection system; scheduling and tracking the administration of surveys; building and testing surveys; manual data entry; assist with coordination of participant assessments.
  • Assist in data analysis: Creating and running reports in RedCap; cleaning and organizing data sets in Excel; running descriptive analyses in Excel; creating tables and pie charts in Excel; copying qualitative data from Excel into MS Word and formatting documents.
  • Administrative Support: Coordinating multiple study group calendars and timelines; manually entering survey feedback; and preparing research packets/manuals as needed.
