About The Position

The Research Student reports to the Principal Investigator, providing assistance to the project staff, as needed. The summer research student will be based in the department of emergency medicine and will assist with recruitment on clinical trials (e.g., low dose ketamine for mood disorders with suicidal ideation) and observational studies being conducted in the Emergency Department.

Requirements

  • Must be a matriculating student in a 4-year college program.
  • No experience needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research protocols in conjunction with project staff, which may include, but is not limited to data entry, running assays, culturing cells, working on animal models, helping with laboratory maintenance, and presenting project results as necessary.
  • Maintains quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
