About The Position
We are seeking a Research Specialist to perform bench research and assist with laboratory management duties. Research focuses on kidney biology, including modeling kidney disease and development, mapping spatiotemporal relationships between the kidney and nerves, and identifying novel regulators of podocyte biology. The position requires animal handling.
Requirements
- Animal handling is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform mouse behavioral experiments.
- Organize mouse colonies, breed mice, and perform genotyping.
- Conduct genome editing, such as CRISPR.
- Perform histological assays, including immunocytochemistry.
- Conduct confocal microscopy.
- Collect and process tissues, including dissections, clearing, sectioning, and immunohistochemistry.
- Perform primary cell culture.
- Develop kidney organoid and non-animal model systems.
- Analyze data.
- Assist with laboratory management duties.
