About The Position

The Social Experiences and Emotional Development (SEED) Lab, directed by Dr. Selin Zeytinoglu, is seeking a Laboratory Research Specialist who will contribute to multiple aspects of research projects examining how familial and child-level factors contribute to children’s socioemotional development. Specifically, this role will oversee the day-to-day activities of a research project examining the social and neural pathways linking parental anxiety with children’s daily emotions. The Laboratory Research Specialist will work as part of a team comprising graduate students and undergraduate research assistants and will coordinate the lab’s daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit participants by establishing partnerships with local communities and organizing recruitment events.
  • Collect and process electrophysiological (e.g., EEG, ECG), behavioral, and questionnaire and smart-phone Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) data.
  • Supervise undergraduate research assistants.
  • Help develop lab and project protocols and manage IRB protocols, along with other administrative duties.
