About The Position
Provide excellent and technically-demanding Clinical and Translational Research Laboratory skills in a careful and independent manner for Clinical Research Core Laboratory. The personnel assists and works closely with the Laboratory Director for overall operations and functions of the laboratory.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a biological science or related field
- Minimum 3 years research/clinical/Laboratory related experience
- Ability to work efficiently and to perform properly controlled molecular tests.
- Must have strong organization abilities and communication skills.
- Ability to complete and pass successfully the required occupational health screening referenced in the University’s Animal Handler Health Surveillance Program on an annual basis.
- Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in research or clinical laboratory environment preferred.
- Experience in use of computer database applications desired
- Strong molecular and cell biology background and experience with molecular techniques such as DNA and RNA isolations, PCR, immunoassays and infectious disease related methodologies
