About The Position

Manages multiple research projects and study protocols under the direction of a Principal Investigator. Leads study design, data management, analysis, and reporting, and contributes to proposals, publications, and funding opportunities. Supervises and trains staff and students while cultivating effective partnerships with research collaborators and stakeholders. Develops and implements laboratory safety procedures, including drafting and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols in compliance with safety regulations. This position has several primary functions and/or responsibilities: A Cyclotron Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of particle accelerators used for producing PET radiopharmaceuticals, requiring strong technical skills in electronics and mechanics. 1) Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on cyclotrons and associated equipment (e.g., targetry systems). 2) Troubleshoot electronics to the component level. 3) Ensure regulatory compliance, including radiation monitoring and documentation for PET diagnostic manufacturing. 4) Utilize computerized control systems to operate the cyclotron and manage production. 5) Other cyclotron facility operation related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities
