About The Position

The PKD Therapeutics and Translational Biology Laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a highly motivated Research Services Laboratory Sciences Professional to join our growing team focused on developing innovative therapies for autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Our research combines molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, and translational medicine to uncover disease mechanisms and develop mutation-agnostic therapeutic strategies, including approaches targeting protein folding, proteostasis, RNA therapeutics, and gene editing. In this role, you will work closely with physician-scientists and basic researchers in a collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art laboratory techniques, including mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, CRISPR-based technologies, protein biochemistry, microscopy, mouse models, and translational preclinical research. You will contribute to projects spanning from fundamental mechanistic studies to the development of therapies with the potential to enter clinical trials. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to participate in a rapidly expanding research program dedicated to translating basic discoveries into new treatments for patients with ADPKD. You will receive mentorship in experimental design, data analysis, scientific communication, and responsible conduct of research while working within the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado—one of the nation's leading academic nephrology programs with access to exceptional core facilities and a vibrant translational research environment.
