About The Position

The laboratory focuses on identifying predictive biomarkers of therapeutic response and mechanisms of treatment resistance in colorectal cancer. Research activities integrate patient-derived tissues, organoid culture platforms, metabolic analyses, advanced microscopy, and in vivo experimental models within a highly collaborative translational research environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree
  • 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Culture and maintain colorectal cancer in vitro models (cancer cell lines, primary fibroblasts, and patient-derived organoid models)
  • Process and handle patient-derived tissues and isolate peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs)
  • Perform standard molecular and cellular biology techniques including western blotting, RT-qPCR, microscopy-based analyses, flow cytometry preparation, and metabolic bioassays
  • Conduct functional assays including cell viability, proliferation, and clonogenic survival assays
  • Support in vivo mouse studies including tumor cell injection, tumor growth monitoring, anesthesia procedures, irradiation experiments, and maintenance of syngeneic and xenograft models

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision coverage, with Ohio State paying a significant portion of the cost.
