The Research Security and Export Controls (RESEC) Office within the Texas A&M University Division of Research is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity, compliance, and ethical conduct of the research enterprise. Our team partners with faculty, staff, students, and research collaborators to navigate complex regulatory requirements related to export controls, conflicts of interest and commitment, research security, international collaborations, visiting scholars, and responsible conduct of research. Through expert guidance, education, and compliance oversight, we help advance groundbreaking research while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and university requirements, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and relationship-focused Research Security Coordinator who enjoys supporting a research enterprise through collaboration, service, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in a higher education or research environment, including conducting restricted party screenings, resolving potential matches, and vetting individuals and entities for research security concerns. Familiarity with Texas A&M System applications, including AggieBuy, FAMIS/Canopy, Maestro, and TrainTraq, is preferred. Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to build effective partnerships while navigating complex compliance requirements are essential for success in this role.
