About The Position

WIL is seeking a Research Scientist in education data systems to serve as principal investigator or co-PI on research using state longitudinal data systems and linked education and workforce data to improve policy and practice. The role involves developing research proposals and studies, working with state education agencies on data access and agreements, leading analyses and data-protection processes, and preparing research and dissemination materials. This is a contingent proposal opportunity in WIL’s expert collaborator network, not a funded vacancy. WIL is preparing a competitive grant application; no award has been made, and work or funding is not guaranteed. If an award proceeds and the staffing model calls for it, WIL may offer a project-based contract or consulting engagement. WIL will seek permission before naming the candidate or including their resume in a proposal. The opportunity is remote in the US.
