Assists in experimental studies in the Lab relating to specific research projects. Carries out clinical and research activities as directed. Receives mentorship for the development of a research program designed to enhance productivity in manuscript publication, abstract presentation, and grant application submission. Participates in specialized training to conduct occupational-related mental health research across diverse populations, with a primary focus on occupational stress in healthcare workers. This includes opportunities to analyze large databases of well-being and mental health data and work with research cohorts such as Veterans and 9/11 World Trade Center responders. Gains training in the oversight and management of a large Occupational Lung Registry (OLR), including opportunities for research and publications utilizing OLR data. Assists with preliminary site surveys and inspections. Collaborates on follow-up investigations to ensure corrective measures are effectively implemented and maintained as required. Assists teams and leadership in the creation of training materials and conducts training on Industrial Health and/or Safety topics and programs as needed.
