The malaria research lab of Dr. Ashley Vaughan at the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research (CGIDR) at Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI) is recruiting a Research Scientist II to join our team, who work on the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum. We have a number of NIH-funded projects that rely on the successful creation of fertile parasite gametes for our work. The successful candidate will be directly involved in parasite culture using biosafety cabinets and aseptic technique and will also work with the mosquito vector Anopheles stephensi. This position offers a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment with a close-knit team of malaria researchers. A keen interest in working on malaria, a parasite of global health importance is required.
