About The Position

We’re looking for a Research Scientist II to join our team and take a leading role in advancing our research in neuroblastoma tumor immunology. Our lab studies how interactions between NK cells, dendritic cells, and T cells shape anti-tumor immunity, with the goal of understanding how immunotherapies could generate more effective and durable responses in high-risk neuroblastoma. The Research Scientist II will have substantial research experience in immunology, cancer immunology, immunotherapy, pediatric cancer, or a related field who is ready to take primary responsibility for a major research project. This person will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) while serving as a senior scientific resource within the lab, providing experimental leadership, independent scientific decision making, and mentorship to junior lab members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; may require a Master’s Degree for certain lab specialties.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related area/laboratory setting.
Multiparameter flow cytometry and cell sorting
Mammalian cell culture and in vitro immunoassays
Tissue harvest, processing, and immune cell isolation
Mouse handling and in vivo experimental techniques
Mouse colony management, including oversight of routine colony operations
Data analysis related to the above techniques and scientific writing

Responsibilities

Lead the design, planning, execution, troubleshooting, and analysis of experiments focused on neuroblastoma immunology and cancer immunotherapy.
Take primary responsibility for advancing a major research project; coordinate experimental work across lab members and collaborators; provide scientific guidance and mentorship to junior researchers.
Compose manuscripts and presentations; initiate new research directions; help establish rigorous experimental practices and identify scientific or operational issues that may impede research.
