The School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy & Behavioral Sciences, is seeking a dedicated SFP – Research Scientist I to support the expanding scope of research within the department. This role is essential for facilitating a more comprehensive and impactful research agenda, specifically managing current and future projects funded by the Alzheimer's Disease Data Initiative (ADDI), Emory University, and the Alzheimer's Association. The Research Scientist I will play a critical role in expanding the research scope within the Department of Health Policy & Behavioral Sciences. This position is designed to address the increasing complexity of legal, policy, and ethical research focused on Alzheimer’s disease, aging, and neuroscience. The incumbent will provide essential support in the design, execution, and completion of both current and future funded studies, ensuring a high level of productivity and adherence to the rigorous standards of our NIH-funded research portfolio.

Requirements

  • Ph.D and 3 years of related experience, or combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements research protocols and projects, including designing recruitment, sampling, and data measures to advance research goals.
  • Collaborates on qualitative and quantitative data analysis within mixed-methods studies.
  • Collaborates on the development of research proposals using training in research methods and applying theory and conceptual models to study design.
  • Prepares and co-leads analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Provides technical leadership and consultation to the study team and ongoing collaborations.
  • Supports dissemination of research findings through publication and scientific presentations.
  • Provides administrative support to research studies as needed through recruitment, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
