About The Position

The Moritz lab at the Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) in Seattle, WA is seeking a Research Scientist to join our interdisciplinary team under the direction of Dr. Ulrike Kusebauch to advance translational proteomics research in infectious disease systems biology. Our focus will be 1) to develop new proteomics approaches to detect post-translational modifications and to advance proteomics workflows to accelerate discovery, and 2) to apply these approaches in areas of human cancer and infectious disease. Working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, we have access to the largest collections of comprehensive proteomics data sets incorporated into an extensive set of Atlas’s to support the knowledge of proteins and their modifications. Our team collaborates with systems biologists, data scientists, and domain experts in human and infectious disease at ISB and across the country. The applicant will be highly experienced in post-translational modification analysis by mass spectrometry, protein expression and purification, and comprehensive data analysis of multiplexed datasets. This position offers opportunities for growth and career advancement.
