Key Responsibilities Promote a safe work culture that includes leading by example, ensuring compliance with lab and workplace safety requirements, supporting risk assessments, and continuous improvement. Formulate new solutions according to a developed project schedule across metal-working fluids, lubricants, and other related chemistries. Utilize experimental design during feasibility studies to quickly drive the development path to a decision point. Actively participate in commercialization activities, including bill-of-materials (BOM) and safety-data sheet (SDS) reviews, and other ISO-driven processes. Develop new, when required, and ensure that appropriate test procedures exist and are maintained to support accurate product monitoring and field performance verification. Conduct evaluations of existing DuBois products and competitive technologies to drive continuous improvement. Assess raw materials for alternative sourcing, profit maintenance, or performance enhancement to strengthen DuBois’ competitive position. Support production activities and the quality assurance team, including observing and training production/quality assurance personnel, assisting scale-up of new formulas, and investigating off-spec batches. Leverage problem-solving techniques participating and/or leading to understand root cause. Contribute and develop content for technical bulletins, technical data sheets, and training materials. Engage with customers to observe products in operation, gather application insights, and identify opportunities for new innovations. Provide mentoring and training to team members on formulation principles, testing methods, and R&D best practices.
