The UW Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences (I-LABS) has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Scientist/Engineer - Principal to join their team. Reporting to Dr. Patricia Kuhl, the Research Scientist/Engineer - Principal is responsible for advancing existing technology and methods at the I-LABS MEG Brain Imaging Center. These advances will impact the entire field of magnetoencephalography. The person in this position will understand Center research emphases and needs, and will work on unusually difficult scientific problems that require a high degree of expertise, creative insight and technical skill, resulting in advances beyond the current limitations of MEG technology. They will develop novel solutions that address long-standing issues in the field concerning source localization, noise cancellation and head modeling, particularly with regard to the new OP MEG technology. Work takes place on the UW Seattle campus in a fast-paced, busy laboratory setting.
