About The Position

As a Research Scientist within Global Analytical Sciences, you will provide critical analytical support to Product Development, Early Research teams, and global manufacturing sites. You will drive technical excellence by utilizing advanced Analytical Instrumentation and Laboratory Information Management Software (LIMS) to ensure the integrity of our products. This role is vital for bridging the gap between early research and large-scale manufacturing, with the primary objective of developing and validating the methods that guarantee product quality and compliance across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • 3 years of industrial/pharmaceutical experience, OR a Master’s degree with at least one year of experience.
  • At least one year of experience working with Analytical Instrumentation (Separations, Spectroscopy, and/or Wet Chemistry) under cGMP requirements.
  • At least one year of experience in industrial or pharmaceutical method development, validation, and qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP requirements, including USP, ICH, and CFR standards for laboratory operations and Quality Systems.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications, specifically MS Excel, LIMS, and Google Workspace.

  • Expertise in interpreting complex technical data to provide actionable recommendations and technical direction to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain a variety of analytical instrumentation, including elemental analysis and spectroscopy techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly to diverse audiences in both written and oral formats.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and project management skills, with a track record of executing well-documented tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, optimizes, and validates analytical methods to support Global Technology Centers (GTCs) and manufacturing sites while troubleshooting complex instrumentation issues.
  • Performs and reports the results of chemical analyses and method validations in strict adherence to cGMP environments and corporate quality systems.
  • Documents and shares critical technical learnings through research reports and the creation of local and Global Standard Procedures to ensure standardized excellence.
  • Expertly utilizes LIMS, statistical analysis software, and reagents purchasing systems to maintain precise data integrity and laboratory operations.
  • Acts as a technical partner to Product Development and manufacturing teams, providing actionable data to support the life cycle of the product portfolio.
