Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python and ML model training is required.
• Masters in Mechanical Engineering or a degree in a related STEM field.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated background in robotics, vision language action models, behavior cloning techniques, underwater robot systems, and autonomous systems, as exemplified by a strong publication record.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain Python scripts and modules to support robot control applications.
• Plan and conduct experiments with real robot systems, log data, track data, visualize data.
• Use NYU’s high performance computing (HPC) to train large models (4B parameters).
• Deploy trained models for real robot experiments.
• Train and deploy models within a simulated robot environment.
• Exceptional communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
