Texas A&M University’s Chemistry Department is looking for a Research Program Aide to support research focused on the synthesis, reactivity, and characterization of atypical cations and phosphine gold complexes featuring cationic moieties. This role will involve laboratory synthesis, investigation of chemical reactivity, and the application of both standard and advanced characterization techniques, including NMR, mass spectrometry, and X-ray crystallography. The position will also include computational modeling to help interpret and predict the properties of these complexes. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with an interest in inorganic and organometallic chemistry. Prior experience in synthetic chemistry, along with a basic understanding of chemical characterization methods, is preferred.
