About The Position

Anthropic is hiring a Research Operations Lead to serve as the operational backbone of its Life Sciences team, a growing research group combining AI with hands-on biological research. The role is responsible for ensuring scientists can focus on research by building, improving, and scaling systems for procurement, inventory, safety, equipment, and laboratory space. The scope is expected to grow with the team, and the operational foundation developed in this role will support the team’s experimental biology work over time. The position spans hands-on laboratory operations and strategic planning. It includes managing facilities, vendors, and budgets; developing operational workflows and documentation; and coordinating with internal teams and external partners. The role is based under Anthropic’s location-based hybrid policy, which currently expects staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more frequent office attendance. The minimum education is a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. The required field of study is a field relevant to the role, as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience. Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position. The annual salary range is $210,000–$260,000 USD.
