About The Position
Saratoga Medical is hiring a Research Nurse in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The role supports clinical research protocols and trials, including participant recruitment and screening, assessments, eligibility review, informed consent, regulatory compliance, research documentation, and data management. The nurse collaborates with investigators and healthcare professionals, helps develop and implement protocols, and trains new staff. Responsibilities
- Recruit and screen patients for clinical research protocols and trials.
- Perform physical assessments and collect comprehensive medical histories.
- Assess patient eligibility using study-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Obtain informed consent and maintain participant documentation.
- Support IRB submissions, regulatory reporting, annual reviews, and protocol compliance.
- Document and report adverse events, protocol deviations, and other reportable occurrences.
- Perform research data entry, database maintenance, and data quality checks.
- Interpret clinical data and research findings and communicate relevant information to investigators and the research team.
- Collaborate with physicians, principal investigators, research coordinators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in developing and implementing new clinical research protocols.
- Train and mentor new staff on research procedures and protocol requirements.
- Maintain accurate clinical and research records while protecting participant confidentiality and safety.
- Follow NIH, NIDDK, institutional, and applicable clinical research policies and procedures.
