About The Position

Overview: Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Job Description Summary: Installs, maintains, repairs, tests and troubleshoots all mechanical system and utility services throughout the hospital complex. Job Description: Essential Functions: Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of heavy equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Inspects and tests equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintains accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment. Trains and mentors junior mechanics on proper maintenance and repair techniques. Collaborates with other departments to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements.
• Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
• Four years of related experience in two or more related crafts, required.

Nice To Haves

• EPA certification, preferred.
• State of Ohio Brazing certification, preferred.
