Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing research projects or programs within a university, research institute, or equivalent environment
- Strong understanding of Australian research funding frameworks, including ARC or NHMRC grant processes
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multi-disciplinary teams without losing attention to detail
- Familiarity with health and medical research governance, ethics frameworks, or clinical trial oversight
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills suited to academic and professional audiences
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
Nice To Haves
- Postgraduate study or research experience highly regarded
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end research project management, from grant application through to reporting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, external collaborators, and stakeholder communications to keep complex projects on track
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements across concurrent research activities
- Identify process improvements that strengthen research operations and support academic output
