About The Position

This position is for a Research Laboratory Technician III at Creighton University. The role involves advanced molecular and cell biology techniques, animal dissection and sample preparation, Next Generation Sequencing library preparation, auditory and vestibular function tests, and microscopy.

Requirements

• Molecular and cell biology techniques: DNA extraction, genotyping, immunohistochemistry, western blot, RNAscope.
• Animal dissection and sample preparation: inner ear dissection, cochleae/utricle dissociation, cell collection by FACS or glass pipette suction technique, cryosection.
• Next Generation Sequencing: library prep for RNAseq, ATACseq and Cut&Run.
• Auditory and Vestibular function tests: ABR, DPOAE, VsEP.
• Microscopy: confocal and SEM.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular and cell biology techniques including DNA extraction, genotyping, immunohistochemistry, western blot, and RNAscope.
• Conduct animal dissection and sample preparation, including inner ear dissection, cochleae/utricle dissociation, cell collection by FACS or glass pipette suction technique, and cryosection.
• Prepare libraries for Next Generation Sequencing (RNAseq, ATACseq, and Cut&Run).
• Perform auditory and vestibular function tests such as ABR, DPOAE, and VsEP.
• Utilize microscopy techniques, including confocal and SEM.
