We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our research team as a research technician in the Creighton University Department of Physical Therapy. This individual will be joining an integrated clinical and research center with an overarching goal of keeping people active in adulthood and later adulthood. Our research aims focus on enhancing the physical activity of adults in rural communities. The research technician will help coordinate funded studies investigating velocity feedback for individuals with sarcopenia, the assessment of physical activity patterns of adults within acute care, and the feasibility and efficacy of a walking program for Veterans with mild cognitive impairment and their care partners. Responsibilities will include project management (e.g., supporting recruitment, participant scheduling, oversight of student workers, and communication), assisting with on-site data collection (Omaha, Nebraska and surrounding areas), data processing and analysis, and assisting with dissemination activities (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts). The research assistant will also assist with other ongoing activities in the lab. This position is generally Monday-Friday but may require some evening, weekend, and holiday work. This position is more than 50% on campus with most job-related activities needing to be completed on campus. This is a grant-funded and school-funded position beginning August 17, 2026 until the end of the fiscal year (6/30/27), with annual renewals depending on performance and funding. Once the grant funding and allocated school funds have been exhausted, the position will end.
