About The Position

This position supervises staff (generally ten or more employees) in a large and/or complex research laboratory. The Research Laboratory Manager is responsible for administrative, financial, staffing, and planning aspects of research. This role involves designing instrumentation, theoretical models, equipment, and other vehicles for data gathering and analysis. The manager will design and apply scientific and numerical models in research, oversee the development and integrity of data collection and instruments, and conduct ongoing, periodic, and final analyses of data using specialized techniques and programming. Additionally, the manager will write and collaborate with other researchers on manuscripts, abstracts, and other publications of research findings, and collaborate on long-range plans for overall research. Related responsibilities are performed as required.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a scientific field
  • Five years of professional research experience.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.

  • Related master's degree preferred.
