About The Position
The Healthy Food Retail Research Team at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health is seeking up to four highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented candidates to support data collection efforts in retail food stores in the Atlanta Metro in GA. The team is conducting a study to investigate retailer response to recent changes to SNAP programming requirements via retail food store audits. Candidates should reside in the Atlanta Metro, where data collection will take place in retail food stores. Eligible candidates must have access to a personal smartphone, a valid driver’s license, and a personal vehicle. Mileage costs accrued during the course of the study will be reimbursed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, nutrition or related social science field
- A minimum of one-year related research experience
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Software literacy in programs such as Word and Excel, and Internet application
- Reside in the Atlanta Metro
- Access to a personal smartphone
- A valid driver’s license
- A personal vehicle
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
- Previous experience conducting in-store audits is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Complete mandatory data collection training
- Conduct field audits at stores across Atlanta Metro region. Data will be collected via smartphone through an offline mobile app
- Document, maintain, and upload data and collect and maintain photographic evidence
- Professional and responsible representation of the Healthy Food Retail Research Team and Emory University
