We have three openings for Research Interns for an 8-12 month term, with a June 2026 start date, available in Calgary, AB.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a post-secondary student during the work term.
• Eligible for BioTalent Canada SWPP funding.
• Familiar with standard analytical lab practices and techniques.
• Strong background and interest in molecular biology, biochemistry, and chemistry.
• Strong computer skills: Knowledge of data analysis techniques and software is a strong asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contributor to a team responsible for developing, improving, and qualifying analytical methods.
• Execute routine testing with established methods.
• Accurately collect and enter data into databases.
• Support the preparation of lab reports and other documentation.
• Support maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with GMP and internal quality standards.
• Assist in training coordination, maintaining training records, and tracking completion in the learning management system.
• Prepare draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected.
• Grow your technical skill set and engage in professional development.
