About The Position

Applied Intuition is seeking multiple passionate Research Interns to join their Research Group. The group focuses on creating cutting-edge technology for next-generation physical AI, specifically in end-to-end autonomous driving and robotic generalist applications. The team consists of leading experts with a strong track record of academic and industry contributions. Interns will have access to industry-leading tools and infrastructure, including millions of miles of data and the ability to deploy developed methods into various autonomous and robotic systems. The role involves contributing to research, learning best practices in autonomy and robotics, and working in a fast-paced, customer-focused culture. Improvements made by interns can be immediately deployed to help customers and deliver business value.

Requirements

  • Strong research background and skills on relevant topics.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects.
  • Current PhD (or MSc) studies in machine learning, computer vision and graphics, or robotics.
  • Passion for next-generation, scalable autonomy and robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on reinforcement learning (RL) related topics, including large-scale closed-loop RL and VLA post-training, with applications to robotics, particularly dexterous manipulation.
  • Explore fundamental and relevant topics on RL with broader applications.
  • Work closely with Research Scientists and Engineers on high-quality research publications for submission to top-tier conferences.
