About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Department of Neurology, is currently accepting applications for a full-time, doctoral-level Research Instructor position. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., MD, or DO in a relevant field of science or medicine. This non-tenure stream faculty position will support ongoing, year-long research projects in the area of stroke. These projects are conducted under mentorship of Stroke Institute director and other highly trained specialists at the University of Pittsburgh. The work environment is highly collegial and cooperative. Requirements

  • Prior research experience in stroke, neurology, or a related biomedical field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical and/ or translational research, including study design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage research projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manuscript preparation and publication in peer-reviewed journals preferred
