About The Position

This fixed-term, full-time role sits within an active research group investigating molecular mechanisms at the forefront of biochemical science. You will contribute to the design and execution of laboratory-based research projects, generate and interpret experimental data, and co-author publications in peer-reviewed journals. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to the supervision of postgraduate students as your research profile develops.

Requirements

  • A PhD in immunology, or a closely related discipline (conferred or near completion)
  • Hands-on experience with immunology, molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as flow cytometry, sequencing and imaging
  • A developing publication record demonstrating research contribution
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with relevant laboratory software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to scientific reporting and presentation

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct experiments aligned with the group's research program
  • Analyse, interpret, and present findings to internal and external audiences
  • Contribute to grant reporting and support future funding applications
  • Engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations across the Clayton campus
