About The Position
A Research Fellow position is available in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic. This role involves utilizing advanced technical skills in areas such as AI/ML, cloud platforms, and programming languages like Python, PyTorch, Transformers, SQL, and TensorFlow. The position requires exceptional organizational skills and may involve working with mechanical research equipment, developing experimental protocols, biomechanics development, implementing protocols, and providing engineering technical expertise. Depending on the research area, responsibilities could also include using x-ray computed tomography (CT), radiation dosimetry, x-ray physics, and proficiency in Matlab and/or C++ programs. The role may also involve working in a special engineering group, processing and testing algorithms, informatics, data for computer programming, and implementing algorithms for research and clinical applications.
Requirements
- Must have a Ph.D. in a field deemed relevant by the program
- Completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS)
- Strong programming skills in Python and libraries such as PyTorch, Transformers, SQL, TensorFlow
