Research Engineer

Northeastern University•Boston, MA

About The Position

Northeastern University is seeking a Research Engineer to support computational modeling and imaging efforts investigating the effects of non-ionizing electromagnetic fields on the human nervous system. Under the direction of Prof. Yarossi, the role supports development of head models and E-field simulations, working alongside a Research Scientist and in collaboration with the Northeastern Center for Translational Neuroimaging. The position also contributes to computational modeling, neuron modeling, imaging analysis, and dissemination of project results. A BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field is required; an MS is preferred. Experience with computational modeling, simulation, or imaging analysis is preferred. U.S. citizenship is required due to federal government contract requirements; security clearance is not required. The expected hiring range is $67,855–$95,845. Northeastern offers a comprehensive benefits package to benefit-eligible employees, including medical, vision, dental, paid time off, tuition assistance, wellness and life benefits, retirement, and commuting and transportation benefits. Starting salary depends on factors including education, experience, location, knowledge, expertise, skills, and comparison with similarly situated employees.
