About The Position

Huawei Canada has an immediate opening for a Research Engineer. Founded in 2012, the Noah’s Ark lab has evolved into a prominent research organization with notable achievements in academia and industry. The lab’s mission focuses on advancing artificial intelligence and related fields to benefit the company and society. Driven by impactful, long-term projects, the aim is to enhance state-of-the-art research while integrating innovations into the company's products and services, including LLMs, RL, NLP, computer vision, AI theory, and Autonomous driving. This role involves designing, developing, and testing software to tackle meaningful technical problems through software analytics research, source code mining, software analysis and manipulation, software reverse engineering and migration etc. The engineer will collaborate with innovative product development teams and transfer ideas into solutions for next-generation Huawei products. Rapid prototyping with a collaborative team of engineers through code transformation and delivering just-in-time solutions to enhance the core competitiveness of Huawei's related products is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

• PhD or MS Degree in computer science or related fields with a focus on computer vision and machine learning.
• Papers at relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, etc.
• In-depth hands-on experience in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch etc. and a track record of translating ideas into research prototypes quickly.
• A true team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, proven success in working within a globalized multi-culture organization.

Nice To Haves

• Working or internship experience at industry research labs or technology companies a plus.
