About The Position

Trident University International is seeking a Full-Time Faculty member for Research & Doctoral Studies. This remote position is primarily responsible for providing quality instruction to students, offering intellectual guidance, and contributing to the improvement of instructional methods and course content. The role involves teaching assigned courses, preparing course materials, assessing student learning, and actively participating in institutional committees and curriculum development.

Requirements

  • Possess a terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent in a relevant discipline (business, education, health science, or psychology) and applicable accreditation requirements.
  • At minimum, 18 graduate hours in research methodology.
  • Possess at least two (2) years of experience teaching in an online/distance learning environment.
  • Previous experience as a doctoral committee member and chair.
  • Strong organizational and technological skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates CEC Standards as defined for faculty members: Communication, Assessment of Student Learning, Pedagogical Mastery, Course Subject Matter Expertise, Utilization of Technology, Teaching Diverse Learners, Student Engagement Protocol Adherence, Promotion of Active Student Learning, Operating within Educational System, and Demonstration of Scholarship.
  • Candidate will also be required to complete a satisfactory background check.

  • Significant experience as a practitioner in work related to your academic discipline.
  • Demonstrated research contributions within the last ten years, including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, program evaluation reports, or similar scholarly work.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses.
  • Review assigned courses prior to teaching to verify content accuracy, validity of links and supplemental material, and report findings to the Program Chair.
  • Prepare audio and visual material for synchronous classroom chats and asynchronous lessons.
  • Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines through topical outlines and a standardized syllabus.
  • Challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
  • Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments, and final exam assessments within the allotted timeframe.
  • Respond to students and stakeholders on a timely basis.
  • Identify at-risk students and take measures to engage them.
  • Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
  • Post and maintain office hours and classroom schedules.
  • Provide intellectual leadership to instructors in faculty meetings and committees to improve instructional methods or contribute to their professional development.
  • Contribute to reviewing, developing, and evolving curriculum, course content, and delivery methods.
  • Actively participate in institutional committees as requested.
  • Work with the Program Chair and other appropriate groups on retention activities.
  • Provide mentoring to new faculty as requested.
  • Attend regularly scheduled faculty in-service sessions and discipline-specific professional development activities.
  • Maintain credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies and regulatory entities.
